Bible Blast Bible Blast is a parent-driven program designed for 4-year olds through fifth- graders. It is a fun, fast-paced, rewards-based program that has a unique blend of both Bible story reading and memory work. Bible Blast is designed to teach children God’s Word DAILY.
Bible Blast is based upon the scripture from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which says: “Love the Lord. The commandments I give are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and your gates.”
The focus of Bible Blast is to offer a tool for parents to follow the mandate of this scripture and impress the Word of God on the hearts of their children.
St. Mark’s Bible Blast begins in late August and ends in April; it is a 24-week program.
Pre-K/K Sunday school and Wee Worship
Our pre-school Sunday school is for children ages 3-6. Our children enjoy a new Bible story each week. We are currently studying the New Testament. In this series, children are guided to discover a friendship with Jesus. This weekly study, that also carries into our Wee Worship, has 3 main goals: develop Biblical knowledge, display Christ-like character, and demonstrate faithful conduct.
The Adventure
From 9:30-Noon on Sunday mornings, our elementary aged children experience this radical, fun program. It begins with children's choir time, led by Ms. Becky Roman. Then, we have a snack and a game, craft, or movie, and at 11:00 we begin our lesson time for the final hour. Mark'd Kids love it!
The children are busy in the summer with a variety of activities including: MEGA Sports Camp, VBS, KICKS, and Dry Gulch Camp.
MEGA Sports Camp
June 13-17, for children entering 1st grade through graduated 5th grade. This high energy camp teaches children skills in one of the following sports/activities: basketball, baseball, soccer, cheer, karate, and non-sport (cooking and card-making). For the low, low cost of just $5, children will come away from this camp learning skills in a sport of their choice, plus each day the children learn a Bible truth and how it relates to their lives and how it relates to the lives of other current athletes. This camp takes place in the evenings, 5:30-8:30. For more information or to receive a registration form, contact children@stmarksbethany.org or call 405-789-9033.
Vacation Bible School
July 25-29, 5:00-8:30, for children age 4 through graduated 5th grade. This year, come sail away with us on the High Seas adventure of VBS! Each evening of VBS, children experience singing/worship, a craft, an interactive Bible lesson, Chadder's Theater, games, and a snack. Registration will be available online in June. Please contact children@stmarksbethany.org or call 405-789-9033 for more information.
KICKS
June 8-July 29, every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-2:30. This day camp for children entering 2nd grade through graduated 5th grade, is full of activities, challenges, fun games, and a field trip each week! This summer, the theme is "Spy Camp - Go to Camp Without Leaving Town." Kids will flood the church gates to make electroshock bubblegum, see real robots, and make their own secret ID badges. Spy Camp will deliver extraordinary experiences as kids learn to rescue others, defend themselves, and search for real life Bible applications they can uncover and apply right away. Each Thursday, we take a field trip to a metro area spot, like the zoo or Orr Family Farm.
Tuition for KICKS is just $10 per week, per child. For more information or to get registered, contact children@stmarksbethany.org or call 405-789-9033. Dry Gulch Camp is a Christian camp near Pryor, OK for children ages 7-12. The children spend 4 nights and 5 days participating in activities like: total camp worship, swimming, horse-back riding, go-karts, water slides, etc. It is a great camp experience for kids! July 6-10.
Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. ~Matthew 19:14
